LA BEATA OLANDA
In the year 2000 La Beata Olanda presented the European premiere of the violin sonata by Elisabeth-Claude Jacquet, which was very well received by press and public. The members of La Beata Olanda are very familiar with forms of play and expression from that era, due to the intensive study of historical performance practice with performance practice experts of the first generation at Koninklijk Conservatorium den Haag and Amsterdan – that’s why they call themselves ‘Happy Holland’ in Italian. They also studied at institutes like the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and the Akademie fuer Alte Musik Bremen.
La Beata Olanda’s performances comprise the Thueringer Bachwochen, Rheingau Musikfestival, Barockfestspiele Arolsen, Kultusommer Nordhessen, Eckhof Festival Gotha, Festival Mitte Europa, Tavistock Festival (UK), Gruyeres Festival (CH) and Festival Bach de Lausanne, fraenkischer Sommer, Gueldener Herbst and Landshuter Hofmusiktage.
