Rosa e Orticha
Über die CD
The new CD of Alexandre Danilevski and his Ensemble Syntagma presents some of the most elaborate works of the mediaeval musica composita by Bardolino da Padova and his contemporaries.
On the program there is the image of sounds as they change over the day, from break of day to dawn of twilight, enriched by means of allegorical method with symbolic images like “rose” (rosa) and “stinging-nettle” (orticha), often seen as “the Good and its opposite”, but also regarded like a well-balanced Universe of its own.
