Rosario Conte, archlute: Italian Baroque music for archlute by Alessandro & Leonardo Piccinini
In this solo archlute recital, the Italian lutenist Rosario Conte plays works by Alessandro Piccinini and his son, Leonardo Maria Piccinini, in a most virtuosic and emotional interpretation. This recording offers an excitingly fresh view on Italian 17th Century repertoire (the pieces of this CD were published in 1623 and 1639). It does not only show the complexity and difficulty of the compositions, but rather discloses their deep beauty and grace, thus revealing the true humanistic background of this outstanding musical era. Recorded 2011 in the Convent of the Annunciation in Rovato, Italy.
Die CD ist wunderbar und die Musik kann man nicht oft genug hören. Ein Genuss1!!! Es gibt selten so eine klare und trotzdem romantische Musik
